WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS & TRAINING

Gilmer County has several excellent technical colleges locally located.  These colleges have economic development programs to assist with training employees and develop curriculum for future staffing needs.

Chattahoochee Technical college assists with the State’s nationally recognized Quick Start training program, which is provided as an incentive by the State of Georgia.

A Department of Labor One Stop faciliity is located 15 minutes away and offers a variety of services for business and industry including information on wage rates, workplace regulations, job posting, applicant screening and hiring assistance.

As part of Georgia’s pro-business environment, Georgia Quick Start assists new, existing, and expanding businesses with finding and training qualified employees.  

Quick Start is a nationally recognized training program that works through the state’s technical schools to provide customized training at no charge for qualifying business and industry.
